DR. ADLER TO TEACH HERE.
Viennese to Give Psychology Course at Medical College.
Dr. Alfred Adler, noted Viennese psychiatrist, arrived from Europe yesterday on the Holland-America liner Statendam to take up his new appointment as Visiting Professor of Medical Psychology at the Long Island College of Medicine Oct. 1. He will also begin a series of weekly lectures at the New School for Social Research this Fall.
Dr. Adler said he was the originator of the system of individual psychology which he started at his school twenty years ago. Some of his pupils, Dr. Adler said, had started a school in Vienna to teach these principles. The child is taught to be its own psychologist and study its own character, its own behavior and behavior toward others, and thus combat the inferiority complex.
